Welcome to ArachnoWiki.

The goal of this wiki is to create a repository of information and media about our favorite group of animals, the arachnids. One of the motivations behind the creation of this project was the problem that although there are many websites dealing with the subject already, both the quality and quantity of information you are likely to find on them are severely limited and often just plain wrong.

ArachnoWiki aims to collect verifiable information about arachnids that are based on studies and not just personal experiences of the editors. That having been said, unlike Wikipedia we do allow original research, as long as it is clearly marked as such. This is because the study of arachnids is a relatively new area where new information pops up from time to time and we do not wish to prevent such information from being published, merely let people be aware of the source of it.
